THE PROJECT
Neoneli Project – as we called it from the very beginning – has the purpose to reconstruct the historical heritage of a village (Neoneli) and its territory. The goal was to merge meticulous scientific research and common people contribution to share knowledge in a public and open source platform.
THE PROJECT
Terra Giudicale is a series of T-shirts and gadgets inspired by the Giudicati Era in Sardinia.
Why? Terra Giudicale project was created to give value to a fundamental moment in Sardinian history.
A period in the island’s history that determines a shared historical heritage. To recover the medieval symbolism, through the representative coats of arms of these kingdoms, to strengthen the historical awareness and the link with the territory.
How? With historical research behind the reuse and redesign of the coats of arms of the Giudicati, as they have come down to us in historical documents and artistic representations and on monuments of the time. The same goes for the recovery of the original name of these kingdoms. We have reinforced the perception of the volore of these symbols with accurate storytelling.

-of Stefano Lecca, video post production and first draft graphic proposals of the restyling of the coats of arms;
-of Roberta Olianas, who handled the research on historical sources.
